Instructions for Models 43-L & 43-R Hose Clamps
Installation
Install hose clamp assembly with mounting pad of Brace up and Clamp horizontal to
the floor. Clamp assembly must be mounted to a secure surface using the two 0.266
dia. holes provided.
Loading the Hose
The 43-L is designed for 1.5 lined or un-lined fire hose. The 43-R is for 1.5 rubber lined
fire hose.
Step 1. Attach female hose coupling to valve. Loosen wing nut and let arm swing
down. Fold hose and place between brace and clamp as shown above.
Step 2. Run hose under & up in front of clamp as shown above.
Step 3. Swing arm up under hose until it contacts the bottom of the brace. Hold the
arm in place while tightening the wing nut. The arm should force the clamp against the
hose pinching it between the brace and clamp.
Step 4. Check the installation. It should appear as shown in Step 4 above. The fold
should be clamped securely between the brace and the arm with approximately 1” of
folded hose sticking up. The hose should be up against the bottom of the clamp and
over the top of the arm as shown.
Step 5. The remainder of the hose can be installed on a reel or placed in a cabinet as
shown on page 2.
